Jimi had a vision of bringing together diverse musicians from around the world to
Woodstock, N.Y., "to play and play and play until they found a harmonious place
and find a new way to communicate globally through music.
"
Quote from Patty Smith, Seattle, WA, Nov. 11, 2005
Through the eyes of the spirit
you made me see
The soul through these eyes I see
The beauty you bring to me
The spirit through your light
you shine of the shaman at night
when the stars are so bright.
Through the stars at night
your shine is bright forever
in darkness and light.
Heike Krebs, September 18, 2005
"Time for Jimi's spirit to speak, now more
than ever. When you think about what
Jimi stood for, Peace and Love, I don't
know if there are any more important
issues in the world today.  The world
could use a little more (ok, a lot more) of
Jimi's spirit.."

The Hendrix House Legacy Project

This is the house where Jimi and Leon Hendrix lived, along with mother Lucille and father Al,
located in Seattle's Central District. The house will be renovated and maintained by the Hendrix
Foundation in a manner that closely approximates the way it looked when Jimi lived there. Once
completed, the house will be open to the public for a glimpse into life during a formative part of
Jimi's own youth.

Jimi Hendrix transcended social, racial, and musical boundaries. The James Marshall Hendrix
Foundation, created in his honor, is dedicated to doing the same. The Hendrix Foundation seeks to
improve the quality of life for children, their parents, and the community by providing opportunities
for artistic and personal development. The Foundation champions empowerment of youth, aiding
young artists and musicians in obtaining their dreams.

The James Marshall Hendrix Foundation was founded in the memory of guitar legend James
Marshall Hendrix by his brother Leon Hendrix with the blessing and approval of his father Al.
