A Letter From the CEO - 06/11/2007

This planet has become a dangerous harsh and
difficult place for the poor, the powerless, and
especially for children and young people.

Children and young people all over the world are
targeted by, propaganda, war, environmental
disasters, and excesses of religious intolerance.
When they should be taught, and allowed to grow
up with the wonderment of dreams, charity, and
love for their fellow mankind. The JIMI HENDRIX
FOUNDATION is saddened by these current
events, and wants to do something to change the
course.

We are asking all of Jimi's fans from around the
world to join us in a campaign to offer a different
direction, through music, help, compassion,
understanding, and love. We think that we can
make a difference.

We know we have fans that love JIMI HENDRIX in:
Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia, and, of
course, the Americas.

We are PLEADING for DONATIONS to help us with
our MUSIC FOR LIFE, STEM CELL RESEARCH, and
other HELP PROGRAMS on an individual basis.

The Jimi Hendrix Foundation
Leon Hendrix, brother of "music legend Jimi
Hendrix", after acquiring a 'commission' from
his Dad James A. Hendrix, embarked on what
he believes to be Jimi's wishes, in his name,
to 'give back' to the 'community'.

In the form of a 'not for profit' foundation,
henceforth named The James Marshall
Hendrix Foundation, he plans to create a
number of 'community outreach programs'
ranging from music and art workshops to
other meaningful social programs.

Leon believes, had Jimi lived to realize his
full potential, he would have returned to
Seattle and immersed himself in many social
issues to help not only the local scene, but
an international venue.

"Jimi had a generous heart and the world
should know him in that light. By creating
such a foundation, this could lay the 'ground
work' for young people to follow this example
to achieve something greater than
themselves", says Leon Hendrix.

Leon's dedication to the youth of the future
generations is unwavering. "Wherever in the
world the name Jimi Hendrix or The James
Marshall Hendrix Foundation has influence,
we will join 'hands' with that 'community' in an
effort to make a better world.

Leon has inherited his dad's and brother's
awareness for love of family and community.
He has commissioned the birth of this
foundation.

Note that i put in Lucille, the mother of Leon and Jimi.  She died
very young and she was a big influence on Leon and  Jimi.  Both
wrote beautiful songs about her.
Thank you to Lucille.
The story goes that Jimi was with his German girlfriend that night and went out
and met some English band guys for couple glasses of wine.  They went home
early and he took some German sleeping pills (they are much stronger than
American ones, since he had so much on his mind and he couldn't sleep.  So he
took the regular doses he would normally take with the US version of sleeping
pills. But it had the double affect, so he suffocated on his vomit.
He didn't died of overdose.  Its all made up, so the rich could get richer.

So maybe if you hear of Jimi Hendrix you won't automatically thing of drugs but
to think of Peace and Love and Unity he stood for.  Its a shame that this is almost
forgotten.  Please keep the spirit alive.
Thank you Jimi.
Thank you Leon for this beautiful song
Maybe you realized Lucille in the still picture video and that the video is still going
with nothing on it. Well its saved for the second show of The Jimi Hendrix Birthday
Bash this November 2007 at BB Kings in NYC. So stay tuned.......
